Victoria Memorial

A museum is also built inside this building. The opening and closing of the Victoria Memorial and the museum inside it is given below.

The Garden of Victoria Memorial is open seven days a week from 5:30 am to 6:00 pm, and the museum built inside this memorial is open for 6 days except Mondays from 10:00 am to 5 pm. Open till 00.

The entry ticket for the Garden of Victoria Memorial is ₹ 20 and the entry ticket for the museum is ₹ 30.

Eco Park



Spread over 475 acres, this park is located at a distance of about 15 km from the city of Kolkata, which is one of the largest parks in India. In this park you will get to see the exact replicas of foreign monuments. The entry ticket for this park is ₹ 30. This park is closed on Mondays. Its opening and closing are given below-

Tuesday to Saturday – 12:00 PM to 7:30 PM. 

Sunday - 11:00 am to 7:00 pm.

Dakshineswar Kali Temple

This temple of Kali Mata is located in the north direction at a distance of about 13 kilometers from the city of Kolkata. There is no entry ticket for visiting this temple. The temple of Kali Mata remains open seven days a week, whose opening and closing times are shown below-

9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

Science City

This Science City was built to increase the interest of science among the people, which is located at a distance of about 7-8 kilometers from the city of Kolkata. Opening seven days a week, the entrance fee of this science city is ₹ 60. If you want to visit other things built inside this Science City, then you will have to take a separate ticket for that.

Howrah Bridge

This bridge, built over the Hooghly river, connects both the cities of Kolkata and Howrah. Also known as Rabindra Setu, this bridge is located at a distance of about 3 kilometers from the city of Kolkata, through which lakhs of people pass every day. A separate path has also been made for pedestrians on this bridge.

Alipore Zoo



Known as the oldest zoo of India, the distance of this zoo is about 8 kilometers from the city of Kolkata, where peacocks, elephants, white tigers, unicorns and other birds and animals are also seen. Seven days a week the zoo opens at 9:00 am and closes at 5:00 pm. The ticket for adults in this zoo is ₹ 30 and for children ₹ 10. Every day lakhs of tourists visit this zoo in peak season.

Indian Museum



The Indian Museum is the oldest museum in India, which is about 4 kilometers from the city of Kolkata. You will be surprised to know that the foundation of this museum was laid only in 1814 AD. This museum is open for 6 days of the week except Mondays. Its opening hours are at 10:00 am, which closes at 5:00 pm. The entry ticket for this museum is as follows-

Adult – ₹ 50 Child – ₹ 20 Foreign – ₹ 500

Nicco Park

This park, built about 8 kilometers from the city of Kolkata, is very special for children. Even though this park is made for children, but adults also enjoy a lot here. A great deal of attention has been paid to the safety of children in Nikko Park. Known as the Disneyland of West Bengal, this park is open 7 days a week from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. The entry tickets for this park are mentioned below-

₹ 350 – Few Limited Rides 

₹ 850 – All rides 

Note – If you take any one of these two tickets, you do not have to take an entry ticket.

Belur Math

Belur Math


Built on the banks of the Hooghly River, this monastery is located at a distance of about 10 kilometers from the city of Kolkata. This Math was established by Swami Vivekananda, where people of all religions are equally welcomed. If you want, you can also read the books kept inside this monastery. This monastery is open seven days a week.

Saint Paul Cathedral




Built in the 19th century, this church is located about 5-6 kilometers from the city of Kolkata, inside which you will find a different peace. All around this church you will find gardens and lush green plants, where you can relax or spend time for a while. There is no entrance fee to visit this church. You can see the opening and closing hours of this church below-
