Punjab is a state in north-west India that forms a part of the greater Punjab region. The other part of it is in Pakistan. Despite being the smallest state in the country, Punjab is ahead in prosperity. The word Punjab is derived from two Persian words 'Panj Aab' which means 'Water'. 1). Golden Temple
The Golden Temple is also called Harmandir Sahib or Darbar Sahib. Due to the beautiful surroundings and the layer of gold around it, it is called the Golden Temple. It is considered to be the holiest temple of Sikhs located in Amritsar (Punjab). This temple reflects the message of tolerance and acceptance of Sikhism through its architecture, which also includes symbols from other religions. 2). Jama Masjid Kharuddin
Jama Masjid Kharuddin is located in the Hall Bazaar near Gandhi Gate in the city of Amritsar in the state of Punjab. It was built by Mohammad Khariuddin in 1876 AD. 3). Durgiana Temple
Durgiana Temple is one of the major Hindu temples of Punjab, which is located in Amritsar. Durgiana Temple is named after Goddess Durga and Durgiana Temple is also known as Laxmi Narayan Temple Temple. Durgiana Temple is also famous as Rajat Mandir for its carved silver doors. There are some historical temples in the temple complex like Sita Mata and Bara Hanuman.
4). Jallianwala Bagh
Amritsar is located in the state of Punjab. At this place, on April 13, 1919, the British forces opened fire on the Indian protesters indiscriminately and killed them in large numbers. The detachment of this killer army was led by the tyrannical General Dyer of the British rule. The Jallianwala Bagh massacre is still seen telling the story of General Dyer of British rule, when he killed hundreds of innocent patriots by firing indiscriminately. That date is still recorded as one of the world's largest massacres.
5). Wagah border

7) Gurdwara Anandpur Sahib
Anandpur Sahib, which interprets the sacred message of Sikhism, is located in the north-west part of Chandigarh. As the birthplace of Khalsa, this place has religious significance. It is believed that Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur ji was born at this place in 1664.
8). Harmandir Sahib
Harmandir Sahib in Amritsar is also known as Golden Temple or Golden Temple. It is also known as Sri Darbar Sahib. This Gurudwara is located in the central part of Amritsar. Harmandir Sahib is situated on a rectangular platform surrounded by the water of Amrit Sarovar. The city has got the name Amritsar after the name of this lake.
The architecture of Harmandir Sahib is a mixture of Hindu and Muslim styles. It is a two storeyed structure of marble. Harmandir Sahib can be reached through Guru's bridge. The upper floor of this temple is covered with gold. It has a golden dome as a crown. The golden dome is an inverted lotus shaped structure.
9). Dera Baba Nanak
Dera Baba Nanak is located 35 km west of Gurdaspur in Punjab. It is situated on the left bank of river Ravi. The great Guru Nanak Dev Ji spent the last 12 years of his life here. For this reason it is known as Dera Baba Nanak. This place has been the residence of Guru Nanak. He used to meditate on the banks of the river. Today a beautiful Gurudwara stands in his memory at this place. ,
10). Goindwal Sahib
The city of Goindwal is important in relation to the religious pilgrimage centers of the Sikhs. The city is located in the south-eastern part of Amritsar. Just 30 kms away. There are some important Gurudwaras in the city of Goindwal. Goindwal Sahib is the greatest among them. The Goindwal Sahib Gurdwara in Punjab is the pride of the state. Also the biggest pilgrimage site and tourist center.
11). Pushpa Gujral Science City

12). Gurdwara Kiratpur Sahib
Gurdwara Kiratpur Sahib was established in 1627 by the sixth Sikh Guru, Sri Har Gobind Sahib. That too in a small peaceful town at the foot of the Shivalik mountain range in Punjab. He spent the last years of his life in Kiratpur. This place is situated on the banks of river Sutlej. Today this place is in Ropar district.This holy place also has a deep connection with other Sikh Gurus. The seventh Sikh Guru, Guru Har Rai and the eighth Sikh Guru, Guru Har Kishan Dev Ji were born and grew up here. Even the first Guru, Guru Nanak, is said to have visited this place during his lifetime. The place is also known for the memories of the famous Muslim saint Pir Buddan Shah, who spent a long time here.
